Nothing wrong with peeling a flop with the KTs if you are deep enough in chips. I would like to have around 20x the intial raise in implied odds to call. If you don't have the odds, then don't get down when your dream flop comes. It won't happen often enough to warrant the pre-flop call.

The AA hand, yea...bad fold. If he really hit a 2 or has 44, do you really think he would push into you like that? Doubtful, more than likely he would look to checkraise you all in. His bet screamed "scared". He was probably thinking you had the AK and didn't want you to see the turn or river, so he pushed you off the hand. If I were in your seat, I would have put him on 33-QQ (not 44), and complete air like KQ or a big Ace.

It's very rare for players to raise a turn bet without a huge hand, unless they are a really good thinking player. Still really hard to getaway from your hand.

It's weird Tommy - normally I'm very comfortable at a short table (and actually prefer the quicker pace) but for some reason on this day it just ate me up. *shrugs*

As for AK, looking back I messed up with the way I described it. I definitely don't lump slick with QT and KJ as I described above. I'm not a huge fan of it but it's INFINITELY better than those other two hands.

Chewie, great read...sounds like shorthanded play has you a little uncomfortable. I am sure everything will be fine as you gain more experience. BTW- I believe AK to be much better than you are giving it credit.

Oh and thanks for the link to my site!
